This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit, I learned about the past tenses. The unit discussed in a very organized manner the past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous tense. Each of the tenses was presented with its uses as well as examples of most common mistakes students make when studying them. In addition, I learned about regular and irregular past simple forms of many verbs and how to teach them to students. This unit was a heavy future tense learning unit. It explored seven different tense systems involving the expression of the future. I recommend that a lot of tie be put into teaching this unit as it can be quite complex and difficult. Especially after learning present and past tenses this would feel very overwhelming to students. I feel overwhelmed myself. It was clearly laid out which was nice and easy to follow.
