This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit looks at the parts of a sentence and gives rules for how to use each part, as well as the order of parts. Some of this is review from primary and secondary school but some of it feels like new information, such as the order for adjectives. I probably learned it at some point and I know instinctively if it's right or wrong, but I never realized that it goes size -> age -> colour -> material -> noun, which is quite interesting. This unit deals with the Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect and Present Perfect Continuous tenses, including their negative and interrogative forms. The unit covers their structure, their use along with the difficulties they present to the student and strategies for helping them.
I particularly valued the chance to revise the usage of the Present Perfect and the teaching ideas for use in the Activate stage of a lesson.
