I believe tenses are easily my least favorite aspect of grammar. This section delves into present tense and its four forms, Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect, and Present Perfect Continuous. Typically, for Present Simple, a sentence follows as a subject and a base form of a verb. This verb can receive s/es when the subject is 3rd person and in questions do/does follows the subject and verb. The Present Continuous is very similar to the Present Simple however a form of be follows the subject and the verb has the suffix ing. Present Perfect is where tenses start getting confusing in terms of contractions when adding have after the subject and the verb as its past participle. Present Continous Perfect adds been to the mix to make it subject + have + been + verb with an ing suffix.
