This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was about the benefits of implanting a lesson plan in lessons. Having a lesson plan makes it easier to stay on track during a lesson, because you can always refer back to the plan. However, this does create a slight rigidity in the lesson and it becomes harder to change things during the lesson itself. Having used lesson plans for 2 years now, I understood a lot of the things that were mentioned in this unit. I will say that I found the format of the example lesson plans to be a bit jarring. If a lesson plan is meant to be a simple guide to reference, I think some of the information included on the examples is a bit unnecessary. I understand that having backup plans etc. on the plan is useful, but it makes finding the most crictial more difficult when you are in the middle of a lesson.
