This unit covers various theories, methods and teaching techniques. It talks about the uses of feedback and in-depth explanations about Correction when conducting a lesson. I learned there are many methods to conduct a lesson of which ESA (Engage, Study and Activate seems to be preferred. This is because it gives the teacher flexibility. It does this by being able to cover all other methods and theories listed in the unit, such as; Suggestopaedia, The Lexical approach, Community Language Learning, etc. This part of the coursework explained the different types of ESA methods and why each can be effective with certain activities better geared toward different student levels. It is therefore, a very important part of the overall understanding of what has been most effective up to this point and why.
