Unit 1 explains the roles, qualities, and responsibilities of teachers and learners. The roles of teachers can vary on situations teachers face and what teachers intend to achieve in class. As a manager of the class, a teacher should be able to have control over the class by organizing activities, times, structures, and etc. Also, as a facilitator, being a live resource providing proper English by demonstrating and being a model to students is very important and prompting students to use practical English as well. As an assessor, a teacher should provide assessment from the result elicited by observance and monitoring so that students can be acknowledged of their progress.
