This unit covered the aspects of a \"good teacher\" and a \"good learner\" and how knowing the characteristics of both will allow a meaningful relationship to form between the two. In addition, it provided an introduction into the types of learners (beginner, advanced, etc.) and their motivations, which will later help the teacher to evaluate his or her lesson plan as well as know where to begin when working with a particular student. One thing that I have learned form this lesson that I felt was most impactful was the description for each level of learner. I was surprised how many errors a student could make and still be considered an upper-level learner. This opened my eyes to the fact that small errors should not act as an obstacle for the student to continue to progress onto higher level work.
