In this unit i learned about modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. Modals such as can, could, shall, should, will, would, may, might, must, need to, have got to, needn't and ought to are used to add meaning to a sentence. They express different ideas like possibility, ability, obligation, permission and advice. the teacher can use methods such as role-plays, signs and rules to teach them. The second part of the unit was about passive voice. The passive voice is used when the performer of an action is not important, not known or we choose not to say who exactly performed the action. The final part of the unit was about phrasal verbs. These verbs consist of a verb plus one or two particles. The three basic types are Type 1-intransitive, Type 2 transitive seperable and Type 3-transitive inseparable.
