In this lesson I learned about the debate regarding whether or not to plan lessons. Lesson plans can help to establish clear goals for the learners and for yourself, can serve as a record to refer back to later, and can help you to anticipate what you will need in terms of equipment and teaching aids to help make the lesson a success. A lesson plan can also help the teacher to anticipate problems and plan time effectively. I also learned about writing self-evaluations to strive for continuous improvement.
