Conditionals are sentences that possess the expression 'IF' and 'When.' The four types of Conditionals are categories according to number, from Zero to Three and additionally, the mixed category. I learnt that the best means of helping students understand the different types of conditionals and their uses, are practically, by means of making up sentences, gap fill exercises and role playing with scripts that contain conditionals. The Principles of Direct speech and converting it into reported speech, reverted back to the principles of past and future tenses, learnt in previous modules. Understanding the nature of past present, past simple, past perfect and past perfect continuous will make a student understand the concepts that govern the change from a direct speech to reported speech in the past tense.
