While this unit explained the importance of Phonetics and Phonology well enough, I feel that the depth in which it delved into articulation was unnecessary. The latter part of this until turned into a course on linguistics instead of teaching English as a foreign language. While I don't dispute the importance of linguistics, I think that such a broad and technically subject would have been better tackled as a course on its own.This was an interesting unit with a lot of information. And though it was information that I had already been introduced to, I am happy to have seen it in such a setting as this. I think that it can still be confusing to some people. I, myself, had problems with the phrasal verbs, so I think that it could be expanded upon, but other than that, I think that the information was useful and will help with teaching English learners.
