This unit's aim was to define the various parts of speech of the English language and to demonstrate how each one is used. It has brought much clarity to me regarding the identification of the different types of nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, articles, prepositions, infinitives, gerunds and conjunctions. I feel more equipped at empowering future students to attain fluency.Unit 5 covered classroom management. I learned the pros and cons of the different types of class groupings and arrangements (whole class, pair work, orderly rows, circles, separate tables, etc.). There should always be balance between student and teacher talk time, especially when giving directions. I?ve also learned the importance of consistency when maintaining discipline.
