Grammar is the most important thing to learning a language. Learners need to learn and produce the language using correct grammar. Therefore 'part of speech' is important. Part of speech can be categorized into nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, articles, etc. If we look more in detail there would be different kinds of nouns, for example, common nouns, proper nouns, compound nouns, abstract nouns, collective nouns, etc. Same goes for the other parts of speech.
I think the most important part of speech are the verbs, because they give us a sense of whether the situation is in the past, present or future. Also because that in each sentence there is at least a verb.
To learn a language, learners must learn grammar (part of speech) in order to understand it and utilize it correctly.
