Evaluation and testing is an important aspect for teachers and students. It definitely helps to know the progress a student is making or simply what is the level of the student in the case of placement and diagnostic tests. I love the continuous evaluation and feedback so the teacher can have a clear idea of strengths and weaknesses of students. This can also reflect areas of improvement for the teacher.This unit was perhaps the most enjoyable I have gone through, It reflected upon how the phonology of the language affects a foreign ear. I was really able to understand how word linkage and stressing works. It also highlighted on how to make sounds and where the sounds come from, such as fricative, plosives, and such. It has made me realize that spoken English is extremely different than written English.
