Receptive skills are listening and reading (vice speaking and writing which are productive). All are equally important. For reading, we try to teach students to predict, scan, skim and read for comprehension. Teachers should mix authentic with non-authentic texts (simplified to the level of students). Topics chosen for reading and listening should be of interest to the students.Difficult unit, specially the first part were one could easily confuse the zero conditional with the first conditional and the third conditional with the mixed conditional. In this unit we have also seen the reported speech and the direct speech (which I didn't know the existence as a grammatical rule)and the various teaching ideas to be apply in the future with our future students.
