This unit was very useful as it provided a clear example of how to teach a lesson ineffectively and how to teach a lesson effectively. In the first lesson ' the bad lesson' the teacher had a really bad attitude and was very arrogant about how easy the content he was teaching was, he had many bad habits such as reading a book while the students were doing their work, not praising the students for their efforts, not attempting to explain concepts in a different manner when students didn't understand, and constantly scowling throughout the lesson. In contrast, the second lesson was excellent as the the teacher engaged the students from the very start , learned everyone's name, got them working in pairs, used mimes and gestures, and smiled and praised the students a lot and a really positive energy about him.
