This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I felt that I was pretty good with most of this, but some of it was put into new ways that I never thought about. I never thought of the gerund being used as either the object or the subject. Also, I've never thought about the difference between the possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives. It makes sense to consider words like \"my and \"our\" as possessive adjectives because they are in fact describing the noun by showing its owner. In this unit, I learned about how to select and teach vocabulary, grammar and language functions. I learned that these items have to be chosen according to a certain criteria, and that people disagree on the criteria for vocabulary. I learned that a straight arrow plan is often used for vocabulary, while a boomerang or patchwork plan is used for grammar and language functions. Moreover, I learned a few sample techniques to teach each item.
