In unit 5 I have learnt how to properly structure a lesson plan, what information is important to use on the lesson plan and the main reasons for using a lesson plan and how to use it to keep organised and to best teach your students. I also learnt how to break down the ESA phases into different tasks to keep the lesson flowing and how to make sure I have planned enough tasks to fill the entire time I have within the lesson.This is a refreshing change from the usual routine of reading text materials. Watching a real life classroom teaching scenario helps to clarify, affirm and consolidate learnings from prior units. I learnt that a teacher's attitude and demeanour in the class affects to a great extent the success rate of participation and learning within the class. A teacher must always remain positive so that students are encouraged to learn.
