This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covers the different forms of past tense and each of their usages. While I am already familiar with the past tense, I think the information in this unit will be a useful reference material in the future. The explanations are clear and the examples illustrate well the differences between the 4 past tenses. Furthermore the sample activate stage ideas are good and I will certainly be making a note of them for the future. In this unit I learned that the modal verb ?may' is used for polite request, formal permission, less than 50% certainty, obligation, ability and advice. I also learned how difficult it is for students to differentiate between intransitive (Type 1) phrasal verb, transitive inseparable (Type 3) phrasal verb and transitive separable (Type 2) phrasal verb. I was also able to learn the difference between passive and active phrases.
