This unit helps assure me that I do not need to be a complete expert in business in order to teach business English. However, I do think I should take some time independently to familiarize myself with various business English terms before starting with a class in Japan (where I am planning on teaching). I am looking forward to completing this week-long course.Unit 19 was focused on how to teach different types of groups. We learned about teaching beginners, individual lessons, children, business English, and multilingual or monolingual students. This lesson gave specific does and don'ts for each group. It provided a needs analysis to help identify motivation and to help determine pacing and planning for the future.
