I thoroughly enjoyed this unit in the sense that it went into dept of the English language. Simple sentences and structures that one use in our daily lives and comes naturally as an English speaker explaining the theories behind it tickled my brain. I understand how important it is for a teacher to always be properly prepared for a grammar lesson as it can be very confusing for both students and teachers.Unit 11 was helpful in breaking down two aspects of English learning, what is called the Receptive Skills. While this concept is simple to understand, I can see how students may struggle, especially with the listening. It will be fun to think of engaging topics and entertaining excerpts to listen to and read. I am a particular fan of comedy so hopefully I can use that to establish interest and motivation.
