This unit really delved into the hear of teaching and described the techniques and methodologies behind the practice. It outlined basic lesson plans and the ESA system. It was interesting to learn about all of the games that are available to play with students. I knew we would be trying to get them to speak or elicit, but I had no idea the extent to which this was expected. This unit made teaching sound quite fun.In this unit, I learned the important of emphasizing different intonations within different sentences. I learned that a sentence that has intonation that starts with rising then ends falling means the speaker is done with what they are trying to say, but if it ends with a rising intonation, they want a response or are surprised. I also learned many ways to teach pronunciation, intonation, and stressing of words.
