Unit 6 provided an in-depth explanation about the past tense and its various forms, incuding simple past, past perfect, past perfect continuous and past continuous. After completing this unit, I understand the subtle differences in nuance that are created when using different forms of the past tense. I look forward to sharing this knowledge with my students, who often ask me to explain past tense grammar. This unit talked about teaching pronunciation. It covered a lot of ground, beginning with explaining what intonation and stress are and the differences between them. It also discussed phonetic script and gave an overview of phonetics. It also talked about different strategies for teaching students pronunciation, but it made it clear that it's a difficult subject and it's ok if the students aren't perfect.
