This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 3 addresses various aspect of classroom management, including eye-contact, gesture, voice, using students' names, grouping, classroom arrangement, teacher's position, the use of the board, teacher's and students' talk times, giving instructions, producing rapport and keeping discipline. I feel I learnt a number of methods in regard to how to manage a classroom, which will come very handy next time I teach.Unit 17 is an overview of the equipment and teaching aids in a modern English class. Over fourteen items are listed along with their best modes of usage and pros and cons. The unit also presents the final item as online sources and gives an exhaustive list of different types of websites and their URLs. I find this last part invaluable given how enormous a teaching resource the internet can be if used correctly.
