This unit discussed the various types of students one could be teaching: young learners, adults with more motivation, business learners who need it for their jobs, etc. Many of these types of learners have varying degrees of motivation and levels of knowledge in the English language. Some classes may even have mixed levels. Each level must be conducted in different manners and it is important to know, based on age and level of learning, how to present lessons. Some lessons must be repeated often in order for young learners to understand the concepts, while others, like for business learners, need a more concentrated and focused English presentation. Each type of student and class has its own needs and methods for success and this unit discussed many of them, as well as different techniques used to teach.
