Thanks to this unit, I will be implementing some games into the classroom as a way to gauge the progress of my students. I hadn't given it much thought until reading this unit. It seems like a useful way to get a read on progress in an informal way, thus eliminating the negative connotation of a formal exam. A formal test is useful, but not always the best way to measure true fluency.In this unit, I learned about classroom management. This included methods of maximizing student talk time and decreasing teacher talk time, so students have the most amount of time to use the language. The unit also covered giving instruction, seating arrangements, establishing rapport among students. This lesson also covered discipline and how to properly and calmly handle behaviors.
