In unit 7 we explored different methods of teaching vocabulary, grammar and functions. Regardless the fluency of the class, teaching vocabulary,grammar and function are important. Grammar and vocabulary lessons usually use the staight arrow methond, whereas function based lessons are usually taught by the boomerang method. As an ESL teacher one has to ensure language is introduced ina fun and manageable way.This unit gave a great overview of Teaching Equipment, their advantages and disadvantages. It also provided some very useful tips in the use, preparation of equipment and how to use them effectively in the classroom. The resource material references, particularly the links to the online sources, will be very useful. Some of the links showed some really interesting materials that I've not come across before.
