There are different kinds of tests suitable for each stage of learning. There are placement, diagnostic, progress, practice or external exams. Some teachers believe that they don't need to use tests, but others think that exams can't be avoided.This lesson makes you think about the proper usage of past tenses and how to teach them. It is difficult because for those of us that are native English speakers this comes naturally, however there are many rules and we just take them for granted because we speak English everyday and to teach it correctly we need to know the basic rules to teach others for whom English is not natural or native.
