I agree with the idea that speaking is more often the focus and writing gets minimal class time. From a teachers point of view I wonder if this is because it takes time to read and correct pieces of writing, and often there is not time either during the class or after. Unfortunately, in business English, writing is very important for emailing, report writing, and other forms of written communication, and it does need a higher level of accuracy. This unit was helpful as it gave me ideas for writing activities that might not take so much time to do and correct. Also helpful were the ideas for speaking activities given in the list of games towards the end of the unit. Sometimes it is difficult to think of new and interesting speaking topics and activities, which can lead to boring and repetitive speaking tasks.
