In these two videos, two very different styles of teaching were explored. While the lessons overall looked roughly the same, what was truly fleshed out in these videos is how much of a difference teacher attitude and planning can make in the classroom. In video one, the teacher is rather cold and unapproachable. He doesn’t call students by name or really treat them with too much respect. What is being demonstrated here is that bad rapport with students will likely be a major contributor in badly performing classroom. In the second video, the teacher right off the bat is addressing students by name and speaking in a manner that is friendly and kind. This leads the students to participate much more than in the first video. What this teaches me is that I should go into a classroom with a friendly attitude.
