This unit was one of the more interesting units that I have taken up to this point in the course. I have been tutor for students learning English before and have had to come up with some of the ideas contained within this chapter on how to teach pronunciation on my own. Thinking of how to teach pronunciation was pretty hard, but seeing how things are displayed in this section and the detail that is included on how to pinpoint different parts of pronunciation and intonation in speech has let me see that teaching these things can be easier. They can also be more fun. Allowing the students to draw what they think their mouth should be doing when it comes to how they should pronounce a word could be a fun activity for them, and also help them cement into their mind the correct positions needed for proper speech.
