I think learning about EFL methodology was interesting. I currently implement Total Physical Response in my teaching job and I think learning about it's origins in the video was important. I felt this was important because I learned the basis of the method. I think learning the evolution of methodology was important as well because it gives me a better idea of how far the field has come. The most important thing I learned from this lesson was the ESA model. There are three parts to the ESA model: Engage, Study, and Activate. When I was reading it was neat to see what each component comprises of, because I do some of the things mentioned in my current job. Another very important thing I learned is how to give feedback. I learned to minimize negative feedback because it could impact a student's desire to learn.
