The usage of course materials and books is based on the different levels of students. The teacher must know how to improvise a lesson with authentic and created material. This encourages the student and gives them confidence in understanding the language.Also this unit explains the importance of created materials versus the course books, as the created materials can be more relevant to the students level of understanding and interest.In this unit I learned about the basic parts of speech. Before the course gets more complicated it is helpful to define each type. Even if I end up teaching young kids it is still important to have at least a basic knowledge of grammar. In this unit, the eight parts of speech were explained in detail. This is information that an everyday English speaking might not have knowledge of, so it is important to have a foundational knowledge.
