This unit made me pensive during the exam due to questions 8 to 12. These questions presented a new competence ranking that was not to be found in the literature. Moreover, there was no category available for a learner investigating subtleties in speech in the learning material. Needless to say I answered the question to the best of my ability and think that an 'Advanced' student should fit the description.
Apart from the above, the material illustrates my job rather well. I do think that much of what was said about the various age groups and their characteristics reflected my own personal experiences.
It is also useful to go over the Common European Framework quickly but it would be nice to know why these categories are the way they are and when were they made. A brief historical exposition should suffice.
