I was not aware of the amount of methodologies in the teaching industry. I believe that my overall used method was in the Lexical Approach method, but will now be certain to utilize different areas in each of the methods provided in this unit. The different stages that the ESA contains brought to my understanding a whole new world of ideas for steps that I will consider during every lecture or activity that I participate in.This was a very helpful unit in explaining the logistics of pronunciation and phonology. I learned how to read the phonemic symbols, which had always confused me in dictionary entries. In addition, I found the information on how sounds are formed and with which parts of the mouth and throat they are formed. This information will be very helpful in explaining some of the sounds that non-native speakers often struggle with.
