This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 17 was an in depth lesson about the wide variety of teaching equipment and aids that exist and how they can be best utilized. It was particular helpful to learn about specific equipment that was often used by many teachers in the past. It is much easier using a tried and true method then developing a new one. The lesson also took into account how changing technology is affecting what aids are being used in the classroom nowadays. This is tough because as a native speaker, phonemics were not taught or were not separated while learning the language. I can understand why students who are not native speakers would have much difficulty with trying this method. Continued studying of these methods can only help in the future. This lesson also opened my eyes and ears on the importance of making sure that I learn the pronunciation an how the words come out of the mouth.
