In this Unit, I have learned about a variety of equipment I can use to teach English to a class of students. Since I'm a computer programmer, I believe I may possibly use the computer to program software that would help the students learn English in some way. When I took TESOL, I used it to program Jeopardy. So I would have the class play Jeopardy for my sample teaching lesson at the end of the course.This unit dealt with the factors vital in managing a classroom. It presented the importance of using eye contact, voice and gesture while in class. It has explained the advantages and disadvantages of the different seating arrangements and grouping as well. It also gave tips on how to properly give instructions, establish rapport between the teacher and the student and how to maintain discipline in class.
