Unit 14 gives useful hints about how to use course books and what to consider when choosing the most appropriate one for the syllabus. It also states the advantages and disadvantages of course books, saying that a well prepared teacher always has to enhance the lessons with authentic and created materials to mindfully fit the material to her students' level. Giving a list of things to consider, it is a very useful tool for future teachers. This unit covers the last of the basic grammar points--Modal verbs, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. Again, we have grammar principles that are used nearly constantly. But to understand these points, we need to have a firm understanding of all previous grammar points. I find the explanations of active voice and passive voice quite clear and helpful in this unit. I foresee using this material regularly with my advanced university students.
