This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit is dedicated to teaching the two receptive skills to learners of English - reading and listening. Five specialized receptive skills are described as well as difficulties students might have in attaining receptive skills. Ideas are given how to teach receptive skills in a practical and easy for the students way. A patchwork ESA lesson is given as an example. The whole content of this unit was very interesting and helpful for me.This unit gave a better insight on lesson planning. Planning lessons is important not only to keep a record, and stay on target, but also to ensure that students achieve what teachers require of them. Moreover this unit showed examples of how lessons should be planned including a number of criterion from learner objectives, personal aims to anticipated problems. These could definitely help in assessing the improvement of the class daily.
