Unit 17 gives an overview of equipment and teaching aids that can make lessons more interesting and effective. The usage of each of the 15 teaching aids is briefly explained and advantages as well as disadvantages are mentioned. Under the heading 'Online Sources' we find extensive lists of useful internet links for online dictionaries, media sources, teaching and learning materials and general resources for anyone interested in English in general or TEFL in particular.
Unit 17 provided me with very practical information about what equipment and teaching aids are available for the teacher of the English language. I find it reassuring to learn that so many aids exist which will greatly facilitate lesson planning and that can help the teacher to 'create' a structured, versatile and stimulating learning environment.
