Tenses can be quite complicated and throw in the knowledge that there are 12 tenses in total, it can be down-right impossible. This unit has given me the insight to be able to distinguish between present simple, present continuous, and present perfect as well as the formulas involved when trying to explain it to students. I can in no way say that I am now an expert, but I definitely have more knowledge than I did yesterday.I didn't find this unit too theoretical but instead a whole lot of it gives me practical guidance on how to manage students and improve the effectiveness of teaching. I have been a student for many years and have at times encountered teachers who were not productive in the manner in which they organized their classes. This comes down to management and I am happy that the commonsense pointers offered in this unit are useful.
