This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Evaluation and testing was the subject I studied about during the Unit 15 of this course. I observed and learned about different ways of evaluating students' levels and progress, as well as some of the common external exams that I may need to prepare my future students for.
Tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests are good ways to assess a student's language level.
I read as well about the fact that it is often apropiate to give tests at different stages in a course; placement test in the begining of the course in order to create groups of students at the same level, or diagnostic test which is designed to tell me and the students what they do and don't know.
Another important notions I studied about are: General external examinations and Cambridge Assessment.
