In this unit I have learned that the teachers? attitude, knowledge of the students level and sequence of the lesson is extremely important. In the first video the teacher just started without explaining anything to the students. He used terminology that the students have not been introduced to and he keeps on saying it?s very easy. He made the students feel stupid and uncomfortable. He didn?t seem to have any structure. In the second lesson the teacher started the more openly, introducing himself and asking the students names. The students automatically felt more comfortable and relaxed. He also had a clear lesson plan and structure that he followed.
I have learnt that the teachers? attitude is of utmost importance to the success of a lesson and the teacher should have a clear structure and approach during the lesson.
