This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was about types of assessment and how to administer tests. Testing becomes more and more important as students improve and graduate to new English levels. I would think that testing would be especially important for high school students that will have to take entrance exams for English-speaking universities. I suppose how many tests a teacher uses depends on the teacher and the class, but my inclination would be more for shorter, consistent assessment rather than huge tests per unit or section. I like the idea of a self-assessment discussion too, especially if students are at the level where they can discuss in English.
