In this unit I learnt about how to evealuate and test students to gain information. Placement tests are used to see a students starting level and place them in their appropriate class level. This would be extremely important to make sure the level of the class suits everyone. I also learnt that progress tests are used to see how much information the students are retaining. I also think the practice tests are useful in preparing students to take tests from external examiners.
In the school that I currently teach at, there are many students that not only take tests related to the classes that they take here, but also take many external tests for self-study or to prepare for eventually studying abroad. So, the information, especially about the Cambridge tests were very helpful and I learnt a lot about the different types that are provided by them.
