I think the biggest thing I took away from this unit was the importance for minimizing TTT, and realizing that unless dealing with an advanced class, listening to a teacher talk on end provides as much if not more of a challenge than any piece of work that might be given. No matter how charismatic or entertaining, constant lecturing by a teacher will get monotonous, and given the fact that it is probably a struggle to comprehend everything that is being said for most students, even with the use of visual aids and gestures, it is necessary for students to have time in smaller groups or on their own so they can absorb information and gather their thoughts.
