The attitude of a teacher is very important to the success of the class. A friendly and encouraging attitude is essential to build rapport with the students. Use of gestures and mimic is also very important. Using students names in random order can cause students to pay more attention to the lessons. Using repetition drills is a very good idea to practice pronunciation, the students feel more at ease when called by their name, so learning their name is an important part of teaching. If names are difficult, have students write their names on a piece of paper and tape to their desks. A good explanation should be given to students before an activity to make sure they understand it. Praise the students after they achieve a language point.
