From this unit, it is easy to see how future tenses may confuse students of English as a second language. The seven different future tenses have nuances in form and usages that are likely to confuse students, and so it is really helpful as a teacher to have a clear and thorough understanding of the future tenses prior to teaching. The usages for the tenses were laid out clearly and concisely, which will help be verbalize the functions of each tense more easily to students. It is clear that through practice through activities such as writing and discussing about the future, students will develop a better grasp of the future tenses in the English language.
