From this unit I learned about various media helpful in teaching English. Each form of media has its own purposes and advantages. Video can be used to help students assess themselves and also grabs students attention and engages them in the lesson. Cassette players are excellent to fine tune listening skills. DVDs can be used to fine tune listening skills also, it is helpful to show English movies in increments over the course of the class. Movies shown should have a purpose in the lesson, not just for the sake of showing. White boards are effective because they are less messy than chalk boards and can be cleared easily.
