This unit taught me the importance of flexibility within a lesson plan as well as the importance of having a lesson plan and notes. I have never taught before so I suspect that I will be using more strict lesson plans in the beginning, but this unit showed me how to modify those lessons as I go. The lesson plan formats as well as the activity formats are helpful to me because I am a visual learner. By being able to see the structure of a self-made lesson plan, I feel more comfortable about making my own. This unit also discussed the importance of being prepared and checking everything before the class starts which is a good tip to keep in mind.
